- Description:
- The IGF Autoflot unit is a mechanically induced flotation cell system featuring a horizontal vessel divided into four flotation cells, with an inlet and outlet box. It provides a total water retention time of four minutes, or one minute per cell. Metal plate diaphragms separate each cell and box, allowing water to pass at the bottom and air or gas at the top. Skimming compartments are located on each side of the vessel. Each cell contains a rotating air induction mechanism, comprising a mounting plate, draft tube, shroud, and impeller shaft, all sealed to the vessels top with mechanical and lip seals. The inboard mechanical seal is produced by John Crane, with four seals installed per unit. Each mechanism is driven by its own electrical motor via a belt system.
