- THE UNIFINER AND PLATFORMER UNITS PROCESS DIFFERENT NAPHTHA STREAMS TO PRODUCE HIGH OCTANE BLEND COMPONENT FOR GASOLINE POOL WITH 93 OR 96 RESEARCH OCTANE NUMBER RON CURRENTLY UNIFINER AND PLATFORMER UNITS ARE OPERATED FROM CONVENTIONAL DISTRIBUTED CONTROL SYSTEMS DCS THIS PROJECT AIMS AT IMPLEMENTING ADVANCED PROCESS CONTROL APC ON THESE PROCESS UNITS THIS IMPLEMENTATION WILL TARGET ENHANCEMENTS IN ENHANCING YIELD OF HIGH VALUE PRODUCTS REDUCING ENERGY CONSUMPTION REDUCING PROCESS VARIABILITY IMPROVING OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY MAXIMIZING THE FEED ENHANCING PRODUCT QUALITY AND OVERALL PROFITABILITY OF THE UNITS THE WORK COMPRISES THE SUPPLYING SERVICES FOR DESIGN IMPLEMENTATION COMMISSIONING AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS FOR THE FULL IMPLEMENTATION OF APC ON UNIFINER AND PLATFORMER UNITS USING EXISTING APC PLATFORMS PROVIDED BY BAPCO REFINING NAMELY ASPENTECH OR HONEYWELL APC PLATFORMS
